Who/what is Bird & Cleaver? Rather than type out some sort of sugary manifesto about our love affair with the universe, we have opted for a tidier, and slightly more transparent list. Because, who doesn't like a list?
- We don't make money from this blog. That was never really the point of it. However, If you'd like to give us some, that would be great.
- We don't gush, but we do believe in giving credit, where credit is due.
- We like honest things.
- We like well crafted things.
- We like good design.
- We like things that will last.
- We are nostalgic people. You say hoarder, we say heirloom keeper.
- We are actually trained chefs.
- Sometimes we cater/design/plan events, do personal dinners, or special requests. If you are interested you can e-mail us at [email protected]
- If we are not the right people for the job, we'll tell ya no. Don't take it personally.
- Sometimes the food in the pictures on our site is really pretty, but it's also cold.
- In addition to the pretty picture, there is often a filthy shirtless child looming just out of the frame. He probably just trashed the house, which is also not pictured.
- He may, or may not, be eating a hot dog.
- Cooking is a big part of our lives, but it's not what defines us. Stick around awhile, you'll get it.
- So, that's us. Mom and Dad, doing what they do. If we ever disappear from this space, it's because we stopped enjoying it. If you are smart, you'll do the same. Cheers.
