update.

As you may have noticed, things have been pretty quiet around here.  We are working really hard on a new project.  A real, proper, tangible space to call our own. We have decided to focus our energy more on that for the time being, and only commit to one blog post a week.  It makes us a bit sad, but sometimes to make way for progress, their must be sacrifice.

It could be argued, that we are capable of balancing both, the blog, as well as the beginnings of a physical space. But really, that isn't good for anyone. We really don't believe in half assing things, and that's exactly what it would be. Our time would be better served by pushing forward towards the space, which until now, had only been a pipe dream. Not to mention, there are a couple of boys who would much rather we hang out with them, than spend even one more minute waiting for better light. And as much as we like you all, they are about 1,000,000 times cooler.

So, that's our update. We really hope you will stick around for new weekly recipes (and perhaps, some wayward ramblings), and also keep checking back as things continue to unfold during this exciting time. In the meantime, should you need us. This is where we'll be.

update.

There was a time not that long ago when going almost a week without a new post was pretty normal. Nowadays, if we go much more than 1-2 it just feels wrong. Because, if we are not posting, it probably means we are too busy to do  much more than the things we wouldn't really tell you about even if we did have 5 extra minutes. *Ahem, cereal and cold pizza for dinner*. Suppose that's life though isn't it? Spending your precious free time doing a bunch of shit you'd rather not be doing in lieu of your favorite pastimes. That may be a touch dramatic, but seriously, we will be pretty stoked when these next few weeks are behind us.

  • One broken "broken beyond being reasonably fixed car"
  • Working our schedules around one vehicle. (however, adding a few hundred extra miles on my bike has certainly been a saving grace)
  • Purchasing a new car. Well, not new, new. Normal people new.
  • Helping to put the finishing touches on the new bike shop I will be working in. So, if you are a local or ever find yourself in Fort Wayne, come see me at Human Motor Works.
  •  We finally took the plunge and began construction on a home renovation that will allow Lindsay's Mama to move in and be close to us. To anyone who has ever been in our garage, you can somewhat appreciate the scope off this task. Somewhat.
  • Our sewer decided in the midst of all of the fun things going on, now would be a good time to back itself up.
  • Hey, is it hot in here? Oh right, it's in the 80s and the central air isn't working!
  • Deadlines. Both real, and self imposed are way overdue.
  •  Ugh.
So yeah, once you add those things into our already overly full schedules it certainly does not leave much room for creating anything worth talking about. The good news is, we are on the home stretch. We can see the light. Back to normal, well, at least our normal, before you know it.
