Greenhouse Dinner

Yesterday, we told you all that we were really excited about the future of B&C. So, directly on the heels of that proclamation, we wanted to show you a little of the "why".

Ask any artist/creative from our neck of the woods about the pitfalls of "the collaboration". Sure, finding somebody to take photos, paint something, design a poster, or cook you a meal, that compliments your craft, is just a mouse click away. There is no shortage of people hungry (sorry) to show you what they've got. However, finding people who understand your work beyond the ephemeral, is something altogether different.

The greenhouse dinner was in the planning stages for a while; a collaboration with our recent friends, the Colagrossis. Mitch and Destany have become fast friends, not only for their amazing talents behind the lens, but for their tireless efforts to make our community a place worthy of being proud of. With their help (along with the help, of a very select few of our current, creative crushes), we were able to give a proper visual to the future of B&C, and the beauty of simplicity, and community.

So, cheers to friends, and stars aligning.

Many thanks to the Colagrossis, Maeve Vintage,   McNamara Florist and Greenhouse, Get Fresh Farms and Hawkins Family Farm

Special thanks to our friends @carpendaughter, @edenamerica  and @utesch

back to brunch

This used to be a space for the airing of grievances; the perfect platform for wild eyed dad rants, and weighing in when no asked for it. However, in the interest of self preservation (read: live predominantly in the physical world), we have decided to take this opportunity to make some changes.

Obviously, we have not been very present around here for the last, several months. Under the previous format, I would have probably taken this opportunity to spin you a tale. It would probably have started with some sort of anecdotal train, wherein the passengers board willingly, and with great enthusiasm. It would probably go something like: Yadda, yadda, yadda.... little engine...yadda yadda. barely make it to the summit....clarity....oh shit moment.....begin careening towards oblivion........death or glory..... end scene. I am not going to lie, and say that a dirty laundry train story isn't a great morale booster once in a while, but it's not productive, and that's not where we want to be. So, like a Phoenix from the ashes of a train wreck.....a train that was transporting the remains of a sinking ship......I have a dream?

So yeah, about that new stuff.

Guys, we are doing some new, exciting things! Things that are exciting because, despite disappointment, we are right where we are supposed to be. Having said this before, I am sure it doesn't seem like much of a declaration, I get it. However, with hindsight of our recent endeavors, knowing who we are, and where we can put our faith has been one of the biggest blessings we have ever recieved (take note! Probably the one and only time the word "blessing" will be used on this blog). So, yeah, silver lining, or some shit.

Over the next few weeks, we will begin to roll out some of the new products, and services we will be providing. This new venture is a long time coming, and will allow us to more easily share what it is that we do, with our friends and neighbors. Most importantly, the new format will allow us to maintain the level of integrity, and attention to detail that defines us.

So, if you've been with us for a while, we wanted to say thanks for sticking it out, and if you are new to B&C, welcome. We are glad to be back to normal, and have the ability to do what we really do, and share this exciting time with you all.

Let's eat.
