persimmon lassi



 It only seems logical, that if we are going to continue on with holiday themed recipes, we should also include a few counterpoints. This recipe in particular, will most definitely come in handy for everyone's impending holiday gluttony. The lassi is a tried and true remedy to calm and cool your stomach, especially when your better judgement is in lapse. Most commonly made with mango (which is also amazing, obviously), the persimmon is a tasty alternative. So, go ahead, make some deliciously bad decisions. We've got you covered. 


persimmon lassi
( makes 2-4 servings)
for lassi:

  • 3 really ripe fuyu persimmons
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2  milk, your choice
  •  2 tablespoons agave nectar

for garnish:

  • additional persimmon, sliced
  • mint
  • green cardamom

In a blender, combine yogurt, milk, persimmons, and agave.  Blend until well combined.
 Garnish with additional persimmon slices, mint and cardamom.
